About Inverness, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Situated in Cook County, Illinois, Inverness is a small yet affluent suburban village with an estimated population of more than 7,500 residents. Comprising of just one constituent neighborhood, it is the 271st largest community in Illinois with majority of the workforce being employed in white-collar roles.

George Ela was the first settler to arrive in the Inverness area, which soon came to be known as Deer Grove.  After the township area was surveyed by the US government, the land was put up for sale at a low price. By 1854, rail service came to Deer Grove and the line was merged into the Chicago and North Western Railway system, making the area easily accessible to the city of Chicago.

In 1926, the Temple farm and house was acquired by one of Chicago’s leading developers - Mr. Arthur T. McIntosh. Eleven parcels of land were acquired by him, and these lands, along with the purchase of the Cudahy Company Golf Course meant that there was 1,500 contiguous acres of land available for development. They first new homes were designed to be affordable for couples and they were occupied by 1930.

In 1962, the village was incorporated and to be governed by a board of trustees and president. During the 1970s and 80s period, Inverness experienced massive growth, exceeding all expectations. As of today, Inverness is a diverse and safe village offering the perfect setting for people to raise their families.

Although Inverness is a somewhat small village, it has a public transportation system that many residents hop on to - mostly the train for their commute to work.  As far as education is concerned, public schools are managed by Township High School District, Barrington Elementary and High School District 220 and Palatine Elementary School District 15. Inverness also houses the Holy Family Catholic Academy, a catholic school established in 2002, which educates around 300 students.

The village gets around 38 inches of rain and 35 inches of snowfall per year. The average high in the summer months is around 84o, so having an air conditioning system can help make the heat more bearable for you and your family. Moreover, as the mercury can drop as low as 18 in the winter months, installing a heat pump is undoubtedly a great way to stay warm and reduce your overall cost.
